No estudo publicado na ChemSusChem\u00a0os autores descrevem um dispositivo que gera hidrog\u00eanio (energia limpa) \u00e0 partir de ar polu\u00eddo (contaminantes org\u00e2nicos gasosos) e luz.\u00a0Um dos autores do estudo, o Prof. Sammy Verbruggen, explicou o dispositivo: \u201cN\u00f3s utilizamos\u00a0um pequeno dispositivo com duas c\u00e2maras separadas por uma membrana. O ar \u00e9 purificado de um lado, enquanto no outro \u00e9 produzido g\u00e1s hidrog\u00eanio a partir de uma parte dos produtos de degrada\u00e7\u00e3o.
